MuskokaSun.com - Great Big Sea Barrie-bound in November

Great Big Sea, the Newfoundland-based band, is launching a Canadian tour this fall, on the heels of the band’s latest release going gold.

Fortune’s Favour, from Warner Music, is Great Big Sea’s ninth studio release since their 1995 debut, Up. Its first single, Walk On The Moon, celebrates remarkable personal achievements and became the soundtrack for a series of Olympic highlight videos posted on youtube by fans.

Fortune’s Favour continues to push the boundaries of music and art as only Great Big Sea can do, by marrying the traditional music of Newfoundland with their own pop explorations.

After over 15 years together as a band, GBS (as they are affectionately known by their fans) have built a rabid following and unfailing reputation as one of Canada’s finest live acts. In November, the band will embark on another Canadian tour. The tour will touch down at Barrie Molson Centre Tuesday, Nov. 18.
