Camilla Scott will star as Lilli Vanessi/ Kate in TIFT’s Season opener - Kiss Me, Kate- In Concert, with music and lyrics by Cole Porter and book by Samuel and Bella Spewack.
Iconic numbers from the musical include Another Op'nin', Another Show, Why Can’t You Behave?, Wunderbar, So In Love, I Hate Men, Too Darn Hot and Brush Up Your Shakespeare.
Ms. Scott is a major Canadian star in TV and theatre. From 1995 to 1998, she was the host of her own TV show, The Camilla Scott Show on BBC, and later on CTV. She had a recurring role in the TV series Due South as Inspector Margaret 'Meg' Thatcher of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Her theatre credits include the starring roles in Crazy For You and Mamma Mia!, both at The Royal Alexandra Theatre, among others.

TIFT’s production of Kiss Me, Kate – In Concert will also star David Rogers as Fred/Petruchio, Jennifer Stewart (Toronto’s Hairspray) as Lois Lane/Bianca and Sam Strasfeld (We Will Rock You, Stratford Festival) as Bill Calhoun/Lucentio.
Kiss Me, Kate – In Concert will be directed and choreographed by Timothy French. Ryan de Souza will lead the 19-piece orchestra. Sound Designer is John Lott, Costume Designer is Katherine Salnek and Stage Manager is Pamela Craig.
Kiss Me, Kate – In Concert will play four performances on Wednesday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. both days at the Gryphon Theatre at 1 Georgian Drive, Building C in Barrie.
